Privacy Policy
Gateway Portal (portal.gatewayfnd.org) · Last updated: November 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Global Gateway Foundation, Inc. (“Global Gateway”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, protects and shares information in Gateway Portal at portal.gatewayfnd.org (the “Portal”) — the secure online workspace we use with our clients, the people they authorize, and our staff to prepare and track immigration cases.
1. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, phone number and preferred language.
- Case information you provide: questionnaire answers (personal details, addresses, education, employment, family members, immigration history) and the documents you upload.
- Communications: messages and comments exchanged with our team in the Portal.
- USCIS case information: receipt numbers of cases we handle for you and the case status returned by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
- Billing records: agreements, invoices and payments related to our services.
- Technical and security records: sign-in times, IP address, browser type, and a log of actions taken in the Portal.
2. How we use information
- To prepare, review, file and track your immigration case and to communicate with you about it.
- To check the status of your USCIS cases and show it to you and to our staff working on your case.
- To send you sign-in codes and notices about your case.
- To issue invoices and record payments.
- To keep the Portal secure, prevent misuse and meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information and do not use it for advertising.
3. USCIS Case Status API
The Portal uses the USCIS Case Status API to retrieve the status of cases that we prepare or handle for our clients. We send USCIS only the receipt number of such a case. The status information returned by USCIS is used only to keep the client and our staff informed about that case. We do not query cases that are not related to our clients, do not sell or publish this information, and do not combine it with data from other sources for any purpose other than the client’s case. Case status information comes from USCIS; Global Gateway is not affiliated with USCIS.
4. Who can see your information
- You, and the people you choose to add to your case (for example, a family member or assistant).
- Global Gateway staff assigned to work on your case.
- Service providers that process information on our behalf, only as needed to run the Portal (section 5).
- Government agencies when you authorize a filing or when required by law.
5. Service providers
- USCIS (Case Status API) — case status by receipt number.
- Google (Google Drive) — storage of case documents in our practice’s Google Drive.
- Anthropic — automated review of uploaded documents (for example, checking that a document is legible and complete); results are reviewed by our staff and are not used to make decisions without a person.
- Our email service provider — delivery of sign-in codes and case notices.
- Our hosting and encrypted cloud storage providers — operation of the Portal and storage of files.
- Stripe — processing of online card payments, when you choose to pay by card. We do not store full card numbers.
- USPS — tracking of mail we send for your case, by tracking number.
6. How we protect information
- All connections to the Portal use encryption (HTTPS).
- Uploaded documents and questionnaire answers are stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM).
- Sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your email; sessions expire, and access is limited by role and by case.
- Actions in the Portal are logged so that access can be reviewed.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep case information while we work on your case and afterwards for as long as needed for our legal and professional record-keeping obligations. You may ask us to delete your information by writing to info@gatewayfnd.org; we will delete it unless the law requires us to keep it. When a case is permanently deleted, it is removed from the Portal together with its files.
8. Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, or ask questions about how it is used, by writing to info@gatewayfnd.org.
9. Children
The Portal is for adults. Information about children is entered only by a parent or authorized adult as part of a family member’s case.
10. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy. The current version is always available at portal.gatewayfnd.org/privacy, with the date of the last update.
